Blackridge Leadership is a UK-based organisation established to support senior doctors at the point where pressure begins to affect their professional practice.

Many organisations rely on formal processes once concerns become significant. However, there is often limited structured support available at an earlier stage, where timely intervention could prevent escalation.
Blackridge Leadership provides that intervention.
Our Expertise
Blackridge Leadership draws on the experience of senior medical leaders and former NHS Consultants, with experience across clinical practice, medical leadership, and organisational decision-making.
This includes direct experience of:
• Supporting clinicians under sustained pressure
• Managing performance and behavioural concerns
• Working within appraisal, remediation, and governance frameworks
This combination of clinical and organisational experience enables a pragmatic, structured approach aligned to the realities and constraints of modern healthcare systems.
Clear Boundaries
Blackridge Leadership provides a structured, non-clinical intervention focused on professional functioning, decision-making, and behaviour in the workplace.

We do not provide clinical assessment, therapy, or counselling, and our work does not replace formal organisational disciplinary processes.
Instead, it operates alongside existing governance frameworks, offering a defined space for reflection, insight, coaching, and behavioural change at a point where concerns have emerged but before escalation becomes necessary.
All work is conducted with clear confidentiality boundaries, including escalation where there are concerns relating to patient safety or non-engagement.
We support clinicians as they regain control of their professional practice, while enabling organisations to manage risk and retain experienced staff.
